We have had the full experience in Culiacan. And, let me just say that, it is
entirely due to our friends/tour guides.
Frank took us to a Cuban Bar where we got to watch a fantastic band play
authentic Cuban music, complete with dancing. It was truly a night of enchantment.
But, the experience that rounded out our experience was the
car accident we were in while en route to ice cream. The guy in front of us stopped short, so Frank hit him. Then, a guy behind us hit Frank. First, Frank got out and spoke to the
guy in front. No damage. Have a nice day. Then, Frank went back and spoke to the
guy behind us. The other car was a
BMW. The driver was a
surgeon. There was considerable
damage to the BMW, but none to Frank’s Ford.
The next thing we know, Frank is back in the car and says,
“We just made a ‘Mexican Deal’.” A
‘Mexican Deal’? What on earth is
that??? Because of the way
insurance works and how long it takes for the adjusters to show up, it would be
cheaper if Frank drove away, and the doctor to claim a hit-and-run. A ‘Mexican Deal’ is where the two
parties shake hands and continue on their way. Wow!
